1. Do I have to undertake assessment with AIMQ Online courses?
No, assessment is optional. You can choose to study AIMQ Online courses for a skills boost only, however all of the courses form part of one or more nationally recognised qualifications that you may choose to undertake.
2. Do I have to pay extra if I do the assessment?
No. The Assessment is included in the fixed course fee.
3. How do I access my assessment once I have enrolled?
When you enter the online training environment and select your course, you will find a link to your assessment on the introduction page. This will be available each time to log in to your course. The assessment is in a Microsoft Word format for you to download.
4. How long will the assessment take?
Your assessment will take between ten and fifteen hours to complete. The amount of time required may vary depending on the workplace activities required. Some assessment activities need to take place over a period of time, such as monitoring the implementation of a new process.
5. What is involved in the assessment?
Each assessment consists of three sections to complete:
- Underpinning Knowledge questions that require a short essay-style answer. These answers are generally between half and one page long, although the assessor is looking for your understanding of the concepts, and not the length of your response.
- Third-party Evidence Report to be completed by your workplace manager.
- Work-based Tasks that require you to produce evidence showing where you have completed a given task in the workplace.
6. Do I have to sit a test?
No. There are no exams or tests to complete. You need only submit your response to the assessment kit criteria outlined above.
7. How should I approach the assessment?
We recommed that you download, print and read the Assessment sheets before progressing with the online content. This way, as you progress through the online content, you will be aware of the question areas for assessment and you will also be able to make notes against each of the questions on the assessment sheet as you encounter material online. Always revisit your questions at the end of the assessment before submitting to ensure that key aspects have not been omitted.
Additionally by printing and reading the assessment sheets at the start of the assessment you will have an understanding of the tasks you will be required to perform, as these may require some preperation and support from your organisation.
8. What if I am concerned about confidentiality of the evidence submitted?
Information submitted as part of your assessment is confidential. Please see the AIM Qld & NT Privacy Policy. If you are still concerned about the commercial confidentiality of your assessment submission, consider blanking/whiting out the key pieces of data & information within the submitted document and still using the piece of evidence as apart of your assessment submission. You may wish to speak with your manager regarding any concerns.
9. What happens if I get stuck?
Your online Coach is available to assist with any questions you may have regarding the requirements of the assessment and assessment submission. You should use the Ask Coach facility or the discussion forums to request assistance.
10. How do I submit my assessment?
